FAQ

General

What's the difference between the web version and the iOS app?

The app is custom made for iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch) and will NOT work on other devices. The web version will work on any smart phone, tablet, or computer (including the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch).

The content is identical on both the app and web version. You will need an Internet connection on both the app and web versions to watch the videos.

Can I switch between the iOS app and web version?

Sorry, but in order to access both the iOS app and web version, you will need to purchase both separately.

I'm a PE teacher/coach. How can I allow multiple students to access Skipping Skills on their own devices?

If your students have iOS devices (iPhones or iPads):
You can use Apple's Volume Purchase Program to easily install the Skipping Skills app on multiple devices at once. If you are an educational institution you're eligible for a 50% off discount on purchases of 20 licenses or more. Learn more here.

If your students do NOT have iOS devices:
Please contact us (hello at skippingskills.com) so that we can help get you set up with a volume discount on the web version.

Why are there two versions of the app in the App Store?

The version of the app with the teal icon is available as a free download with some of the videos available for free, and the rest unlocked through an in-app-purchase. The other version, called "Skipping Skills Unlocked", is a paid download so all of the videos are unlocked when  you purchase the app. Purchasing the complete program through the in-app-purchase costs the same amount as the Skipping Skills Unlocked app.

I got a new iPhone or iPad. How can I access Skipping Skills on my new device?

If you purchased "Skipping Skills Unlocked", you should see the download icon when you locate "Skipping Skills Unlocked" in the App Store. If you do not see the download icon, make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID that you used to purchase the app initially.

If you purchased the version of the app with the teal app icon (the in-app-purchase version), first make sure that this version of the Skipping Skills app is installed on your new device. Within the Skipping Skills app, tap the "Store" button in the top left corner. Scroll all the way down and tap "Restore Purchases". This should unlock the rest of the skills. If it doesn't, check that you are signed into the App Store with the Apple ID that you used to purchase the app initially.
